2025 VCE Results

Celebrates Success and Expanding Pathways for Every Student

Camberwell High School is proud to celebrate another year of academic results, acknowledging both the outstanding achievements of our students and the many successes of the 2025 Year 12 cohort.

This year’s Dux achieved an impressive ATAR of 99.35, placing them among an elite group of academic performers. This achievement reflects remarkable dedication, resilience, and a deep commitment to learning.

Principal Ellie McDougall said the school is incredibly proud. “Achievements like this highlight what is possible when sustained effort, a supportive environment, and a love of learning come together. Our Dux exemplifies the high standards and values we uphold at Camberwell High School.”

While individual excellence is celebrated, CHS places equal importance on the overall performance of the cohort, which again demonstrated strong, consistent results across a wide range of subjects.

Out of a total of 147 students receiving an ATAR score:

  • 9 students received an ATAR over 95 (6%)
  • 25 students received an ATAR over 90 (17%)
  • 58 students received an ATAR over 80 (39%)
  • 93 students received an ATAR over 70 (63%)
  • The median study score was 30
  • 8% of study scores were over 40 or above

“We are proud of every student who has shown growth this year and achieved the goals they set, whether that be academic, sports, arts, music, or leadership.” Mrs McDougall said.

As the school reflects on the achievements of the Class of 2025, CHS is also looking ahead with a clear commitment: to ensure every student has access to meaningful pathways beyond secondary schooling.

Principal McDougall has been actively reviewing the school’s curriculum and programs, with the new Strategic Plan for CHS to be shared in 2026. A key consideration in this work is ensuring the curriculum continues to evolve to meet the diverse aspirations of students.

While strong academic results remain important, CHS is also expanding opportunities in pathways such as the VCE Vocational Major, industry engagement, community partnerships, and hands-on learning experiences. These offerings support students who may be pursuing apprenticeships, traineeships, employment pathways, creative industries, or alternative post-school options.

“We want every student, regardless of their aspirations to see a place for themselves at CHS,” Mrs McDougall said. “Ensuring our curriculum remains responsive, inclusive, and suitable for all pathways, not just tertiary study, is a key priority as we plan for the years ahead.”
