2025 Homestay Family of the Year – Commendation Award
We are proud to announce that one of our long-term Homestay providers has been recognised in the 2025 Victorian Global Learning Awards.
Marita Shepherd has been an International Student Homestay provider since 2008, offering a welcoming and supportive environment that emphasises cultural exchange and personal growth.
At the Shepherd home, students are treated like family, sharing meals, conversations and household activities. They are encouraged to participate in cooking, explore Australian customs and maintain ties to their own cultures. The family has also shared memorable experiences, including trips to their holiday house at Phillip Island which offer students opportunities to explore coastal attractions and wildlife.
