School Profile

Camberwell High School was opened in 1941 with over 350 girls and boys enrolled. Today we have a population of 1200 students and continue to enjoy a reputation for academic success, a rich, diverse curriculum and extensive co-curricular programs.

Our campus is located on a 3.2 hectare site in Canterbury with ready access to public transport. At the heart of the school is the original cream-brick building surrounded by a campus that boasts up-to-date specialist facilities including the Brereton Library, Sports Hall, Drama Performance Space, Arts & Technology Centre, Music Centre, Enterprise Centre and Senior School Study Centre.

1940's building

As part of our innovative learning program, Camberwell High School has developed the Enterprise Centre which has been designed for student-centred learning. This building, along with several planned future developments, will place Camberwell High School at the forefront of educational provision and signals the school’s seamless blending of history and traditions with contemporary facilities that support exemplary student learning.
