Social Program

Social activities are arranged each term for international students to encourage a healthy social interaction with other students, staff and homestay providers. Students are taken on excursions to introduce them to many aspects of Australian culture. They also participate in school camps with the larger student body. The Moon Festival is celebrated each year with performances for the whole school organised and presented by a group of students, both international and local. Regular dinners are held for International Students, homestay providers and staff to build strong relationships and foster communication. Students are also encouraged to participate in co-curricular activities, such as music bands or sporting teams as this builds bonds between international and local students. These friendships are a vital and irreplaceable aspect of overseas study and will enrich every student’s enjoyment of their time at Camberwell High School.
